Canaan boutique apartment Gaivotas

The apartment is located in a lively area with many restaurants and not far from the centre (there are hills!). However once in the apartment it is completely quiet, with no external noise. The apartment is beautiful, the beds comfortable. My only slight reservation is that it is extremely minimalist in its provision. One wardrobe for two rooms, no other storage and a kitchen with very little equipment. This is a place for breakfast, coffee, and very little else. You would not want to bring a family here. That said, I would thoroughly recommend even with this slight reservation.

Lovely modern apartment on the 2nd floor of apartment 18. Spacious living room and adequate two bedrooms with air conditioning… hardly turn on the air conditioning even in the soaring temperatures of 37 degrees… as the apartment felt cool. The apartment is well equipped with smart TV, iron, hair dryer, washing machine and dishwasher… I wouldn’t recommend using the dryer it was useless but does the job for cleaning your clothes as they provide a drying rack. The kitchen seemed to miss some basic utensils, but overall it’s sufficient. We were missing hand towels for the bathroom but after a WhatsApp message they dropped of the following morning while we were out exploring the city. The apartment could do with a dustpan and brush so that I could clean up after my children’s breakfast. The apartment is perfectly located less than 10 minutes walk to time out market, as you leave the apartment turn left and walk down the road and cross the road. Outside of the apartment there are always queues of people outside Dear Breakfast, I took my children here once, the breakfast is okay, but they do have sufficient choices, the supermarket is also a short walk from the apartment (turn right as you leave the apartment). Just a word of warning it can get noisy in the evening as there is a bar on the same street, but they close at 1am, the windows in the bedrooms do filter out some of the noise, but would recommend bring earplugs if your an early bird. Overall I would recommend the apartment, shower are powerful and hot, great location and even with the shutters opened I never felt over looking, the shutters in the bedroom looked at a building site, but we never heard any noise from that. On our last night was could hear the above apartment walk around, but I guess this is expected.
